5 Days Lake Nakuru & Maasai Mara Safari

Morning: Departure from Nairobi, driving down the spectacular Great Rift Valley escarpment. Stop at the viewpoint for photography.

Afternoon: Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Head out for an afternoon game drive. Scan the lakeshore for pink flamingos and pelicans, and explore the acacia woodlands to find rare Rothschild’s giraffes and grazing rhinos.

Overnight: Lake Nakuru.

Morning: Enjoy a final sunrise game drive in Nakuru. After breakfast, drive across the floor of the Rift Valley toward the Mara.

Afternoon: Enter the Maasai Mara and begin your first game drive as you head toward your camp. The golden savannah of the Mara offers immediate opportunities for spotting the "Big Five."

Morning: Early morning game drive to catch the predators while they are still active. The Mara is famous for its "Big Cats"—lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Afternoon: After a midday rest, head back out to explore different sectors of the reserve, such as the Talek or Ololoolo areas, which offer diverse terrain and wildlife sightings.

Overnight: Maasai Mara.

Full Day: A comprehensive full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Drive toward the Mara River, the site of the dramatic Great Migration crossings (seasonal). Observe hippos and enormous Nile crocodiles basking on the banks.

Evening: Optional visit to a traditional Maasai village to experience the culture and heritage of the "People of the Mara."

Morning: A final "Golden Hour" game drive to witness the savannah waking up.

Afternoon: Breakfast at the camp followed by a drive back to Nairobi. Arrive in the late afternoon for a transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
